Markus joined Steadfast Capital in 2006 and is responsible for the origination, execution and advisory of direct investments. In addition, he currently monitors the firm's portfolio holding in proFagus.

Prior to Steadfast Capital, Markus spent seven years with Booz Allen Hamilton where he focussed on growth strategies, efficiency improvement programmes and corporate finance services for private equity firms.

Markus holds a German and French masters degree from the European School of Management (EACP-EAP) as well as PhD in business administration from the University of Cologne.
